Just a few weeks ago, Poppy, Q and I took a 2 night trip to the June Motel Sauble Beach. It was a much needed mini vacay and the memories we made were so worth the hustle and bustle of trying to pack for a family of 3, including a 11 month old. I was pretty proud of how I packed for Poppy and I didn’t forget a thing! So to help make your mama life easier, I’ve created a weekend away checklist for babies 6-12 months old!
A few things to note:
- A must have for me was a hotel with a mini fridge to store food and milk. If your bringing frozen milk, make sure you take where you are going to store it for consideration
- A bottle warmer/ food warmer isn’t necessary (you could use a mug and hot water for milk) but Poppy likes eating her food warm and it really wasn’t any trouble to bring
- A travel crib is really key! I had some mamas tell me to just sleep with them in bed but I sleep better with Poppy in her own crib and the Graco Pack n Play with a portable mattress was great and Poppy slept so well
- Buy a travel pack of diaper rash ointment, lotion and soap! It’s more manageable once unpacked and whatever you don’t finish you can save for your next trip or use up at home
