Currently Crushing On: Burnt Orange

I’m not one for too much colour. I really like to keep things pretty basic and stick to neutrals. It’s not that I don’t like colour, I just sometimes get scared to wear it, lol! I have seriously shied away from colour most of my adult life. But, I am slowly warming up to colour and I am currently loving burnt orange right now!

Okay, to be totally honest, I used to hate orange. Like absolutely despise it! I just thought it was an unflattering colour on me and never gave it a chance. With that being said, I took a major plunge and decided to try burnt orange with this dress! I have been looking for a dress like this since I saw the dRa Los Angeles one here. I’ve been dying to get my hands on that one but didn’t want to spend the money. Although, I love dRa and think I’m going to invest in a few pieces in the near future!

Anyways, I saw this dress on Missguided and wanted it so bad I decided to just do the orange. When it first came in the mail I was a little scared and wasn’t sure if I would wear it out or even post it on the blog! I tried it on and Qais actually liked it, which made me feel better about it! The day I actually shot the dress and did my hair I was pleasantly surprised. The colour wasn’t as powerful as I thought it would be, and I feel like it will make a good transition dress into the Fall!

My verdict: LOVE! My last post, here, even featured some burnt orange in the print!
