Spring Fave: Ribbed Bell Sleeve Top

Top: Missguided (similar here & here) | Denim: Zara (old – similar here) | Purse: Le Chateau | Shoes: Forever 21 (similar here) Happy Monday! I know I always talk about the weather but when your Canadian you take advantage of every warm day possible! Spring tends to be really up and down here but Sunday was beaaaaaaautiful! I wore this cute number for our weekly date in the city last week and was even crazy enough to pair it with some heeled sandals (clearly a bit of a stretch for the weather, but that’s okay!). Honestly, I don’t always dress appropriate for the weather as soon as Spring hits. When Winter is full blown you’ll always catch me bundled up like the abominable snowman. But when Spring comes in March, tights and heavy winter jackets are totally out of the picture (unless it’s really cold, then I bring them out cause #iaintabouttofreeze). I am definitely a complete hater against Winter so I cherish every day that I can dress for Spring! One of my favorite Spring looks as of late has been bell sleeves and blush everything! It literally is so easy to wear and is such an effortless look every time. I even wrote a blog post with why you need bell sleeves in your closet for Spring, you can find that post here. I snagged this top for 50% off at Missguided! They have been my go-to for bell sleeve tops and Spring essentials. And for half off the price you obviously can’t go…

Today I’m talking about how to look presentable for anything! And I mean anythaaang! As a business owner, I spend a lot of time meeting new people and in different meetings. But, even in the fashion industry looking presentable, classy and business professional can be very important. Luckily though, the fashion industry is a little more fun when it comes to being presentable. Nevertheless, knowing how to put yourself together for a meeting with investors, your financial advisor or even just a coffee date is really important! Here are my 3 tips on how to look presentable for anything: DISCLAIMER: Do not mind my super messy hair! When we shot this it was SO cold and super windy (not to mention it just finished raining). So please excuse my falling out curls and my hair in my face haha 🙂  MY 3 TIPS ON LOOKING PRESENTABLE FOR ANYTHING: 1. INVEST IN A FEW BUSINESS CASUAL PIECES! Since I am a business owner in the fashion industry I don’t tend to have too many business casual pieces. That being said, I do own a few business casual staples to pull together outfits when I need to look a little more business savvy. My first tip would be invest in a good black blazer, a nice pair of trousers…

If you don’t believe me take a quick scroll through the ‘gram and you’ll see bell sleeves everywhere! I mean they’ve been hot since last season and it’s a trend that isn’t going to die out just yet. I, for one, am a HUGE fan of the bell sleeve trend and have been taking advantage of every online sale to fill my wardrobe with these cute Spring essentials! No lie. They do. Bell sleeve tops are like the new white tee. You can wear bell sleeves with pretty much everything you own in your closet already. From your fave pair of jeans to your pencil skirt from work, this top will be the queen of your closet! 2. YOUR #OOTD WILL BE RIGHT ON TREND! For the ladies who aren’t interested in following every trend, that’s okay. Bell sleeves make you look so much more trendy instantly! Spring Must: Oversized Trench Coat (Under $20!)

Jacket: Make Me Chic c/o | Dress: Missguided | Boots: Forever 21 (similar here)| Purse: BP (sold out – similar here) | Sunglasses: Aldo (similar here) | Necklace: Baublebar It’s the first day of Spring and I couldn’t be happier about it! We finally had some warmer weather here in Toronto, and of course I took full advantage of it by rocking bare legs all day long on Sunday. Ish (my hubby) and I just walked around the city enjoying every single minute of it. Because here in Canada, Spring often entails snow and cold, so you kinda have to take what you get! We even enjoyed our favourite pizza at Figo and really just took the day in. It just felt so right to have (somewhat) warm rays beating down on my skin and I can’t wait until the heat is here to stay! And you can probably tell how happy I am about this winter jacket-less, no tights, no hat or gloves situation by how big my smile is in all of these pictures! Anyways, Spring layers are always a good idea. Especially as the weather still has a slight chill in the air. My favourite ways to layer in pretty much every season (except Summer, of course) is with jackets or sweaters. I’ve always loved a classic trench coat that can literally be worn with everything. And, I love incorporating white in every single season as much as I can! Which brings me to this outfit! When…

Must Have: The Perfect Crop Sweater (under $50!)

Sweater: Silence & Noise | Jacket: Missguided | Skirt: H&M (old – similar here & here) | Boots: Marc Fisher (ON SALE HERE!!) | Purse: BP (sold out – similar here) | Sunglasses: Shades Crush (only $10!) | Necklace: Bauble Bar Happy Tuesday! I’m sorry I haven’t posted in forever, but the last few weeks have been super busy and I haven’t had a chance to put together some looks. As many of you know, it can be really hard juggling a full-time job and being a blogger on the side. You really have to prioritize certain things which means that other projects get pushed behind. If you didn’t already know, I have my own business which is obviously my full-time job. I own a infant and children’s clothing store (which is why I was away in New York last weekend). So being a business owner and trying to grow and run a blog can be really overwhelming at times, and really difficult. But I should be able to catch-up by next week and be back on my regular posting schedule on my blog and on my Instagram! But I do have a few new looks for you this week! As Spring slowly starts to creep in, I’ve decided to bring out a little more of my whites. I can’t resist wearing white all season long and was so excited that the weather was warm enough for this skirt! This skirt is one of my most favourite I have ever bought…

The Best Embroidered Military Jacket + Romwe Review

Jacket: MM Vintage (save 10% off with coupon ‘Lauren10’) | Top: Express | Skirt: Romwe | Boots: ASOS (old – similar here) | Tights: H&M | Sunglasses: Ray Ban | Purse: BP (sold out – similar here) Living in a cold climate means you need to be well equipped with a few good pairs of jackets. I, for one, love to have a solid collection of jackets to rotate in my wardrobe depending on the temperature and where I’m going. One hot trend that has being lasting for a few years now is the military jacket. The military jacket is such a versatile piece and can easily be dressed up or down! When I saw this jacket from MM Vintage I just knew I had to have it. I completely fell in love with the meticulous attention to detail and how unique this jacket was. The sleeves are beautiful with the bold black embroidery and the gold sequins that really add a little sparkle, but not too much. And the hood is amazing! It’s big to hide good hair days from bad weather and will definitely keep you dry. Also, the faux leather detailing on the chest and on the pockets really add to the whole look! Overall, I have to say this military jacket is a total score. I’ve been literally wearing it everywhere non-stop and can definitely say the quality is right on point. If you are a fan of embroidered pieces you need to check out MM Vintage,…
