So if you haven’t already noticed, Qais and I are super serious about our weekly dates. We’ve been together for almost 10 years. And we really do believe in the importance of dating your spouse. We usually go on a date night weekly. And we also add in some impromptu day dates after we’re done shooting for the blog.
I used to be pretty casual dressing up for day dates. Usually a pair of jeans, sandals or flats and a cute tee or blouse. But since some of our dates are after shooting some looks for the blog, I have become pretty obsessed with dressing for day dates! That being said, here are my 3 reasons why you, girl, should be dressing up for day dates:
1.Because you get major use out of your wardrobe!
The great thing about dressing up for day dates is you can pretty much throw anything on from your wardrobe! I love pairing some trousers from work with a cute blouse and sandals. Or a dress with one of my favorite heels (like the pair above). I am a huge believer and having your wardrobe work for you in every way. So it doesn’t hurt to have your work wardrobe “work” for dates too!
2. Because you can play around with some #trendingoutfits
I personally don’t play around with trends for date night, for the most part. Especially if we go to a nice restaurant for date night, or if we are being really casual and going to a movie. Sometimes date nights don’t allow much room for trying new trends! But, day dates are trend-friendly. So go ahead and try that denim on denim or crop top and denim shorts because day dates are way more slack!
3. Because why not!?
Okay, so I have always been the girl who always dresses up. It always amazes me how many girls don’t like to dress up or go on dates with their hubby. On a way more personal note, sometimes dressing up for dates or day dates, more specifically, just make you feel good! It is a good boost of self-esteem and can definitely surprise your hubs! Girl, there is never anything wrong with getting dressed up, doing your hair and makeup and feeling like a million bucks even if you’re just going on a coffee date. So, why not!?

I love that dress! And I totally agree, do it just because it’s fun! I dress up for day dates because that’s usually the only dates I get with my husband, so I make sure to take advantage! 🙂

Cute dress! I don’t have a special person in my life to date, but I am determined this year to dress up more, because…Why not?! It will definitely make me feel more confident, have excuse to broaden my wardrobe, and maybe I might draw the attention of a suitable mate. Lol.

I love that you dress up for your dates! I do the same as well, but my husband gives me a second glance when I wear high heels. He knows that I will be complaining by the end of the night 😉 So then I opt for flats!
