Top 5 Ruffle Pieces you Need for Spring!

Top | Jeans | Shoes (similar) | Purse I don’t know if it’s the time change (and more, much needed, sun) but I’ve been SO excited for Spring! This March in Toronto has been pretty good with barely any snow and above 0 degree celsius days! I’m so ready to bust out lighter pieces and brighter colours for Spring! One trend I always love for Spring is ruffles. Ruffles are so classic and feminine and embody warm weather in my opinion. I’m so excited to add ruffle skirts and tanks to my warm weather wardrobe. But for now, I’ve been adding light knits and long sleeve top ruffles everywhere I possibly can! Top 5 Transitional Pieces for Spring

Everytime Spring starts to show it’s face, I like to slowly start adding lightweight knits and transitional pieces into my closet. I absolutely love adding transitional pieces to my closet. Currently Crushing On: Faux Fleece Pullovers

Sweater | Pants | Shoes | Hat | Purse Yay for Friday! And yay for super-cosy-and-seriously-warm sweaters! Cause this Canadian girl is so over the cold and nothing beats a comfy soft sweater to help ease the pain of Winter! But for real though, this sweater is everythaaaang! And they’ve been everywhere for good reason! I honestly don’t dress like this out much. But I might start now! When I was shooting this look I was seriously in heaven wearing this pullover. The only thing that was weird was not wearing heels. I’m a total heels girl so no heels are weird for me lol! Anyways, we just released this two-tone faux fleece pullover at Shop Basic Babe. It’s easily my favourite sweater in the shop. And it’s the perfect sweater for basically every woman. It’s just so easy to throw on and go. It definitely makes a statement in a good way. And most importantly, it is WARM! Like soooo warm. Totally Canadian approved! So if you’re looking to expand your sweater collection in the near future then this baby is it! My Must Have Winter Dress (under $50)

Dress (under $50!) | Jacket (similar here and here) | Boots | Purse So I found it! My must have Winter dress that is appropriate for the cold and the warm. For work, play and everything in-between! I literally found the perfect Winter dress. The fit is so good. The colour is flattering on so many skin tones. And the length isn’t too long or too short! Yes, I am totally obsessed! And you’re probably thinking “she is probably biased since she sells it at Shop Basic Babe“. I totally could be biased. But honestly, I’m not and this dress is just that good! I’m super picky when it comes to wearing a dress in the winter. I literally live in jeans and leather leggings, since finding a dress that can work with Winter is hard. And what I mean by works with Winter is this. Firstly, the dress needs to have long sleeves. Secondly, it can’t be too short. Cause when I don’t want to wear tights (I stroooongly dislike tights) I want to be able to throw own my over-the-knee boots and for there to be minimum skin. And thirdly, and lastly, it needs to be able to be worn to anything and everything! To work, date night, girls night etc. I even had a customer wear it to a baby shower! Check, check, check. And there ya go! My personal go-to dress for Winter for many valid reasons! Lol. What do you guys think? xo Lauren

Top 5 Cozy Cardigans

Cardigan (on sale!) | Jeans | Bodysuit | Purse I’m officially in hibernation season! January, in Toronto, typically is super snowy and extremely cold.
