Spring Fave: Faux Suede Midi Skirt (under $20!)

Top: Old (but would love this top here with it!) | Skirt: Make Me Chic c/o (under $20!) | Purse: Hieleven | Watch: Daniel Wellington c/o (use code ‘LAURENEVA’ for 15% off your order!) | Sunglasses: Shades Crush c/o | Shoes: Steve Madden :Yay for Friday and for it almost being the weekend! I actually work every Saturday so the weekends don’t get me too excited. But what does get me excited is a killer skirt that is flattering, cute and under $20 (say whaaaat!). You can’t go wrong with a skirt that makes you look model tall, model thin and won’t break the bank! When I saw this skirt on Make Me Chic I loved it but I was unsure with how it would work for Spring. I was also worried about how flattering it would be since I’m a girl who loves a good mini skirt (see every other blog post, lol!). That being said, I decided to give it a try and see if I could style it for Spring. And I have to say I am loving the look and will definitely be adding this in my Spring wardrobe rotation. This skirt is faux suede and it’s made out of a very light weight material. So if your wondering if it’s appropriate for Spring weather, I say yes it is girl! It fit’s true to size and has a nice form fitting shape. The only thing I would do differently is wear it with a bodysuit since this top…

We finally had some warmer weather here in Toronto, and of course I took full advantage of it by rocking bare legs all day long on Sunday. Ish (my hubby) and I just walked around the city enjoying every single minute of it. Because here in Canada, Spring often entails snow and cold, so you kinda have to take what you get! We even enjoyed our favourite pizza at Figo and really just took the day in. It just felt so right to have (somewhat) warm rays beating down on my skin and I can’t wait until the heat is here to stay! And you can probably tell how happy I am about this winter jacket-less, no tights, no hat or gloves situation by how big my smile is in all of these pictures! Anyways, Spring layers are always a good idea. Especially as the weather still has a slight chill in the air. My favourite ways to layer in pretty much every season (except Summer, of course) is with jackets or sweaters. I’ve always loved a classic trench coat that can literally be worn with everything. And, I love incorporating white in every single season as much as I can! Which brings me to this outfit! When…
