My 5 Most Worn Pieces for Fall

Top (similar) | Skirt c/o | Tights | Boots (similar) I am definitely a creature of habit when it comes to day-to-day outfits. I love to have a few go-to pieces that I feel bring together almost any piece in my closet. And, obviously, my go-to pieces from season to season change. So far, this Fall, I’ve already found my go-to’s that I can’t stop reaching for! I’m all about a versatile closet with a few neutral pieces that just work (and a few printed pieces too)! My 5 Most Worn Pieces for Fall: 1. Neutral Turtleneck It gets so dang cold here in Toronto and a cozy turtleneck is a definite must! I love having a neutral turtleneck to pair with jeans, trousers, and skirts. And I personally get SO much wear out of my turtlenecks from Fall to Winter, it’s crazy. My tip for having a versatile Fall wardrobe is adding a lot of sweaters and turtlenecks. 2. Plaid Skirt Okay, honestly plaid is a new print for me this season. Crazy, I know. I’ve never been into plaid before. But this Fall I am dying over plaid everything. This plaid mini has been so versatile for me. I’ve worn it during the day, like above, and out for date night with a flirty blouse. It’s just such a great Fall staple. 3. Tights If you’re a cold weather girl you’ll already know that tights are not optional. I’ve already been grabbing for my tights all Fall long. Especially…

Trending: Plaid Everything

Top: Basic Babe | Skirt: Basic Babe | Boots: Forever 21 (not online – similar here) | Purse: Le Chateau So if you want to know one trend you need to buy this Fall and Winter season. I would say plaid ANYTHING. Hands down. Easy! Plaid has been literally everywhere, in every store and on basically everybody! Don’t think you can pull off plaid? Well, you’re definitely wrong! Plaid is one of those prints that suit everybody! Doesn’t matter your colour, size or style. Plaid is the choice! As you can tell I love plaid, lol. But I didn’t fall back into plaid until recently! You guys, you know I’m into effortless and easy pieces. And plaid is seriously the easiest way to look pulled together and trendy in one easy step! And you don’t have to get a plaid skirt. Plaid blazers and pants are also super hot right now too! My recommendation would be to try the skirt if you’re unsure about how to pull off a plaid pant. Skirts are much easier and can look styled more simply then the plaid pant! But, that’s just my opinion! And don’t be surprised if you see me in a plaid blazer soon cause that will probably happen shortly. Okay, I need to end the blog post here cause I just typed plaid 13 times, it’s late in my defence lol! PS.. both pieces are from Shop Basic Babe and they’re both under $50! Linked above!  xo Lauren

Designer Selling Made Fast and Easy with Mcouture

If you guys have been following me for a while you know I’m not huge into buying designer. But, every once in a while I like to splurge a little on a few items I love. Recently, I purchased these Rag and Bone jeans that I absolutely loved for Summer. They are the perfect lightweight, soft and stretchy denim every girl looks for when shopping for jeans! But, eventually, like any girl who loves fashion and trends, I must part with a favourite piece to make room for a new one! Since I don’t buy many designers I had no idea where to sell designer pieces. But I know making a little extra by selling these jeans on a reputable consignment shop is definitely the best way to go! I’m not one for physically going to a consignment shop to sell my clothes. Luckily, Mcouture is a Canadian online consignment shop that knows how to sell your designer pieces easy and fast!   My favourite part of MCouture is the stress it takes out of selling your preloved designer goods. Your commission is shown upfront after uploading your item and then MCouture takes it from there. So easy and fast! What I love about MCouture is you can keep your wardrobe fresh with long-lasting pieces for half or a fraction of the actual price! I mean who doesn’t love saving on quality made items anyways?! And these Rag and Bone jeans above are actually for sale right now on Mcouture’s…

Dress: Zara | Top: Missguided | Shoes: Aldo (sold out – love these here and here) | Purse: H&M (not online – similar here) | Sunglasses: Shades Crush Okay, I never thought I would ever wear overalls again past 5th grade! And here I am loving this overall/dungaree dress trend hard. It’s such cute and easy trend that is seriously so fun to wear! I would have never thought wearing overalls would ever be considered stylish, but here we are, lol! I recently wore another overall dress here last week from Zara. Zara is just KILLING the dress game this season I swear! So basically I am an officially an overall girl and I think I like it lol! Also, there will be SO many good updates and blog posts here on BB over the next few weeks. If you follow me on IG you probably know how much I’ve been talking about my BIG SUPRISE. That should be announced next week! AND, I didn’t forget the second part of “How I Gained 20,000 REAL Followers in 6 Months“. Because of my big announcement I’ve been crazy busy and haven’t had time to really sit and write a blog post! But I promise that announcement is exciting!! 🙂 xo Lauren

The Must Try Fall Trend for Every Girl!

Top: Forever 21 (similar) | Jeans: Zara | Boots: Aldo (similar)| Purse: Forever 21 (similar) One of my favourite parts of being a fashion blogger is trying all the trends and making them my own! I’ve said this already this season, but daaaang the trends for Fall are GOOD! Sometimes trends are just so out there and not practical for every woman. But, this Fall so many trends are practical and fashionable. Which I just love! If you there is one trend you need to follow this Fall and Winter that trend is the sock booties and the belt! I mean, giiiirl, I love a thick black belt with gold hardware and a pair of jeans. It literally looks so effortlessly stylish. And it’s obviously so practical! If you have a little more dough to spend then me. Then you need to get this gorgeous Gucci logo belt here. I am looking forward to the day I can purchase this baby. But for now, this H&M belt does the trick! And if you are looking for another trend to try out this Fall. Then sock booties paired with cropped jeans is just sooo good! Like SO good! The belt I’m wearing above is under $10 (such a steal it’s so nice!) and these booties aren’t on the Aldo website so I’ve linked some other faves below. xo Lauren

Top 5 Faux Fur Coats

Jacket: Shein | Top: Saks Off 5th | Pants: Dynamite | Boots: Marc Fisher (sold out – similar) | Purse: H&M (similar) | Sunglasses: Shades Crush If I’m being honest, I absolutely hate the cold and the Winter! Between the snow and the freezing cold, it’s just not fun lol. Probably the only perk of the cold weather here in Toronto would be wearing really cute jackets! One jacket I always have on repeat every Winter is the faux fur jacket. And if you get it heavy enough, like the one I’m wearing, then it’ll literally take you through the whole Winter! Obviously, the fur faux is more of a fashion jacket and not meant for the bitter cold. But, it’s such a great option for date night or just over jeans and a pair of booties for running around the city! I’ve always been a fan of the faux fur jacket. And I’m pretty sure it’s one of the few things that get me through long Canadian Winters, lol! I mean between the baker boy caps and bell sleeves I am just loving what this season’s trends have to offer! One trend I really wanted to try was the overall dress or the dungaree dress. Now, this trend has been around since Summer. But Fall just felt like the right time to jump on the bandwagon, if you will! One of my favourite things about the overall dress is how many ways you can style it! It’s so cute with bell sleeves under (my personal fave) or with a t-shirt. It’s such an easy trend to pull off for basically anyone. Plus, it looks so cute with over-the-knee boots or even with fresh white kicks! So many ways to style this little dress and so little time, cause it’s already freezing here in Toronto lol! Because I am loooooving this trend here are my top 5 overall dresses!
