Top 5 Bell Sweaters for Fall

Top: Zara (old – similar) | Skirt: Missguided | Boots: Aldo | Purse: Aldo | Sunglasses: Shades Crush Happy Monday, babes! The cooler weather has officially arrived and I think my bare legged days with skirts is almost over. As much as I love a good skirt, I also love everything and anything with bell sleeves! Is anyone else so happy that the bell sleeve trend is still around? A good bell sleeve top can go with everything and I seriously have only 2 on rotation that I wear more than a couple of times a week. You guys know I am all about versatile pieces. And nothing beats a trendy sweater that is feminine and that is seriously so easy to wear! Bell sleeves for Fall is just such a must have in my books that I’ve decided to round up my top 5! (Oh, and be sure to check out my blog next week for another exciting update! I just announced my first update on my blog here, if you missed it!)   Top 5 Bell Sleeves for Fall: Revolve Macys  Nordstrom (this one would be SO cute with a lace bralette underneath!!) Spring Must: Floral Embroidered Top

Top: Missy Empire (under $25!) | Skirt: Forever 21 (don’t love it so similar here) | Shoes: Aldo (under $75) | Sunglasses: Quay | Purse: Zara Okay so I have been trying to incorporate as much embroidered pieces into my Spring and Summer wardrobe as possible! I am so excited that florals are back this season with a new twist. I mean I love the classic Spring florals. But, it’s just so refreshing to have a new twist on an old classic Spring staple. I’ve been living in denim skirts all Spring long so far. They are just super easy and go with everything! The thing about denim skirts though is they can sometimes make an outfit blah if the top is too basic. I love to make denim skirts more exciting by adding either texture or detail to the top. Hence, this embroidered ruffle sleeve top from Missy Empire. I am totally into a nice basic white top to pair endlessly with multiple outfits. But I do think that creating a little interest is important to have a pulled together look! I love the ruffle sleeves on this top and the beautiful detailed embroidered floral. They are so faaaab! This shirt from Missy Empire is great quality and even made in Italy! It fit’s true to size (I’m wearing the S/M) and is only $23!! Also, quick note. This denim skirt is from Forever 21. Honestly I don’t love the fit or the length. Because of that I’ve linked…

Spring Must: Distressed Denim Skirt (under $40!)

Top: Forever 21 (similar here and here) | Skirt: Missy Empire c/o (only $32!) | Shoes: Aldo (under $100) | Purse: Aldo (similar here) | Sunglasses: Quay | Watch: Rosefield  Happy Friday guys! If you’ve been following my blog or Instagram you know I am LOVING denim for this Spring. In my last post, here, I explain how I wasn’t loving the denim dress trend until recently. And now I’m loving the denim skirt trend big time! In the past month, or so, I’ve purchased a few different denim skirts. Everything from white embroidered (read the post here), and super distressed white (read the post here), to a classic black denim skirt. It wasn’t until I received this skirt from Missy Empire until I really fell in love with the denim skirt trend. All of the skirts I mention above I really do love. But, this Missy Empire denim skirt fits so so so good! It fit’s truly like a glove, which is unlike the other skirts I wore above. I’m not saying my other skirts fit poorly (I would say the F21 skirt does actually, lol, more on that skirt probably next week). But this skirt just fits AMAZINGLY! It fit’s TTS and really gives your body a nice hour glass shape. SO, if you haven’t bought a denim skirt for the season buy this one!! I promise it won’t disappoint and I love the off center slit it has in the front, super chic! And you can really pair…

My Top 5 Embroidered Skirts for Spring!

Bodysuit: Boohoo (only $16!) | Skirt: Boohoo | Shoes: Le Chateau (similar here and here) | Purse: Aldo (similar here) | Sunglasses: Aldo (similar here) So this Spring I decided I wanted to try as many trends as I can. I mean the fact that my blog is called Basic Babe tells you I like to keep my outfits pretty ‘basic’ most of time. As in, I don’t wear a lot of accessories, I don’t mix crazy patterns, and I definitely don’t jump on every trend! But that being said, having this blog is definitely pushing me outside of my comfort zone which has been a really good thing! I’m finding myself more interested in trying new trends and new styles more then ever before! Not that this trend is a crazy one by any means, but, I do believe it is a trend that can easily be worn and styled by just about anyone. Florals are an obvious given in Springtime for most which makes embroirded florals a pretty easy trend to love! When I saw the embroiderery trend begin last Fall I definitely didn’t think I’d be into it. It reminded me of my childhood and all the embroidered denim my mom bought for me. At the time, embroidered denim was kinda cool but I just couldn’t shake thinking of elementary school when I looked at it. I can’t say I’m all in with this embroidered trend just quite yet. But I am loving embroidered denim skirts like no tomorrow!…
