Hey guys! Happy Wednesday! I feel like it’s been so long since I’ve given you guys a life update. Sometimes it’s just nice to share what’s going on in my life with my blog readers. It’s almost therapeutic to write it out. Especially since these last few months have been such a huge change for me! So where should I start…
WORK LIFE:
Firstly, life has been HECTIC since Shop Basic Babe has started. Now, SBB isn’t my first business. I owned a children’s store before. But man, is SBB teaching me SO much. I feel like once you own your own business, you kinda feel like you know what you’re doing. But I’m learning I don’t.
I’m so thankful I have such a great team helping me with SBB. I am learning soooo much about branding, marketing and really how to make an online business work. And it seriously is more work then I expected. So naive I know.
Overall, the online shop has been a hustle but so good at the same time!
My blog is getting a facelift – which is much needed! So excited to show you guys the reveal. It was just time to freshen it up and re-brand. I’ve also felt like it was just time. My blog and brand has grown and changed so much in the past year and I really wanted to reflect that!
And in other EXCITING news… my husband (who is also my amazing photographer) will be open for business to start shooting other Toronto and area bloggers! So if you’re located in Toronto or in the surrounding area and need a photographer, send me a DM! So exciting!
PERSONAL LIFE:
Okay, so the struggle is so real to work from home. I don’t know why I am having such a hard time with this but I am. I seriously am struggling with time management and getting everything I need to get done, done. So many people I’ve talked to tell me how much they love working from home. Then there is me, lol.
It’s not that I don’t like it. I just feel like I get cabin fever real quick. Or I just feel tired and can’t get anything done, lol. I’d love ANY tips on how to help myself focus better at home. So please comment them below!!
Qais and I just celebrated our 10 year anniversary two weekends ago and it was SO good! I asked my Instafam this, but would you blog readers want to see a blog post on how Qais and I met? I really want to write it or make a YouTube video about it! I think it would be cool to talk about it on there or do like a couples tag! 🙂

Congrats on all you have going on. One thing that works great when working from home is to have set office hours and use that time for work-related tasks as opposed to domestic chores.
I can’t imagine how much work it is to own a boutique. I would love to start one some day.
