Designer Selling Made Fast and Easy with Mcouture

If you guys have been following me for a while you know I’m not huge into buying designer. But, every once in a while I like to splurge a little on a few items I love. Recently, I purchased these Rag and Bone jeans that I absolutely loved for Summer. They are the perfect lightweight, soft and stretchy denim every girl looks for when shopping for jeans! But, eventually, like any girl who loves fashion and trends, I must part with a favourite piece to make room for a new one! Since I don’t buy many designers I had no idea where to sell designer pieces. But I know making a little extra by selling these jeans on a reputable consignment shop is definitely the best way to go! I’m not one for physically going to a consignment shop to sell my clothes. Luckily, Mcouture is a Canadian online consignment shop that knows how to sell your designer pieces easy and fast!   My favourite part of MCouture is the stress it takes out of selling your preloved designer goods. Your commission is shown upfront after uploading your item and then MCouture takes it from there. So easy and fast! What I love about MCouture is you can keep your wardrobe fresh with long-lasting pieces for half or a fraction of the actual price! I mean who doesn’t love saving on quality made items anyways?! And these Rag and Bone jeans above are actually for sale right now on Mcouture’s…

The Must Try Fall Trend for Every Girl!

Top: Forever 21 (similar) | Jeans: Zara | Boots: Aldo (similar)| Purse: Forever 21 (similar) One of my favourite parts of being a fashion blogger is trying all the trends and making them my own! I’ve said this already this season, but daaaang the trends for Fall are GOOD! Sometimes trends are just so out there and not practical for every woman. But, this Fall so many trends are practical and fashionable. Which I just love! If you there is one trend you need to follow this Fall and Winter that trend is the sock booties and the belt! I mean, giiiirl, I love a thick black belt with gold hardware and a pair of jeans. It literally looks so effortlessly stylish. And it’s obviously so practical! If you have a little more dough to spend then me. Then you need to get this gorgeous Gucci logo belt here. I am looking forward to the day I can purchase this baby. But for now, this H&M belt does the trick! And if you are looking for another trend to try out this Fall. Then sock booties paired with cropped jeans is just sooo good! Like SO good! The belt I’m wearing above is under $10 (such a steal it’s so nice!) and these booties aren’t on the Aldo website so I’ve linked some other faves below. xo Lauren

Top 5 Faux Fur Coats

Jacket: Shein | Top: Saks Off 5th | Pants: Dynamite | Boots: Marc Fisher (sold out – similar) | Purse: H&M (similar) | Sunglasses: Shades Crush If I’m being honest, I absolutely hate the cold and the Winter! Between the snow and the freezing cold, it’s just not fun lol. Probably the only perk of the cold weather here in Toronto would be wearing really cute jackets! One jacket I always have on repeat every Winter is the faux fur jacket. And if you get it heavy enough, like the one I’m wearing, then it’ll literally take you through the whole Winter! Obviously, the fur faux is more of a fashion jacket and not meant for the bitter cold. But, it’s such a great option for date night or just over jeans and a pair of booties for running around the city! I’ve always been a fan of the faux fur jacket. And I’m pretty sure it’s one of the few things that get me through long Canadian Winters, lol! How I Gained 20,000 REAL Instagram Followers in 6 Months – Part 1

Finally, my most anticipated blog post is here! I really wanted to write it sooner but decided to take my time and figure out how I was going to write it and how I was going to share this most valuable info, lol. Originally, I was thinking of doing a video discussing how I grew mine but didn’t want to condense my tips. I really want to be thorough and share everything I did so you can do it too! I’m going to break this series up into 4 parts so I can explain what apps you need, why you need them, how to use them, and of course a few Instagram tips! So let’s get started with part 1: Part 1 – What Camera and Apps to use: This is THE most important parts when it comes to creating your brand on Instagram. Using the right apps and camera are so important when being able to convey your brand and create your story. Remember, Instagram is visual so consistent quality and editing is key. Even if you’re starting with 0 followers! Step 1: Choose your camera When you first start blogging or even if you just want to live on the ‘gram, you need a decent camera to start. Now you don’t need to go drop a couple hundred or a thousand on a DSLR camera just yet. But, you do want a camera that can take clear and crisp photos. When I first started my Instagram I shot with my iPhone…

Dress: Zara | Top: Forever 21 (similar here and here) | Boots: Marc Fisher | Purse: Aldo | Sunglasses: Shades Crush Anyone else feel like this Fall has so many good trends? I mean between the baker boy caps and bell sleeves I am just loving what this season’s trends have to offer! One trend I really wanted to try was the overall dress or the dungaree dress. Now, this trend has been around since Summer. But Fall just felt like the right time to jump on the bandwagon, if you will! One of my favourite things about the overall dress is how many ways you can style it! It’s so cute with bell sleeves under (my personal fave) or with a t-shirt. It’s such an easy trend to pull off for basically anyone. Plus, it looks so cute with over-the-knee boots or even with fresh white kicks! So many ways to style this little dress and so little time, cause it’s already freezing here in Toronto lol! Because I am loooooving this trend here are my top 5 overall dresses! If you’re looking for the perfect casual Thanksgiving look to keep you warm and stylish, here it is! The tulle definitely dresses this cardigan up and it really does make the perfect holiday cardigan! Okay, so now for a little life update! Some of you may already know that I closed down my previous business. If you didn’t know, I used to own a children’s clothing store which had a physical location and was online as well. I had it for 5 years and it was time for a change, so don’t feel bad or say you’re sorry to hear! So many people keep telling me how sorry they are. But in reality, I am so ready for a change and to move on to new and exciting things. Because of my shop being closed down I am now working from home. What am I working on? Well, my blog for one. But I do have an opportunity that I am SO excited to share with you guys! Some of you may know about it already by reading my interview with Watchit Magazine. But if you don’t know yet. Don’t worry! I’ll be talking about it soon on the blog. And…

Top 5 Mom Jeans

Bodysuit | Jeans | Purse | Boots Happy Wednesday! I have really really recently (like in the past 3 or 4 months) gotten into wearing jeans. Before I started blogging you would literally never catch me in jeans! I guess you could say blogging pushed me outside of my style comfort zone and pushed me to try new styles. And I know that sounds silly for jeans. But, I could never find a pair of jeans I liked before. Now I am almost always in jeans. My go-to styles are the vintage high waist. And, of course, the mom jean. Now I know the mom jean isn’t for everyone, but if you haven’t tried a pair of mom jeans. Do it! They have loose styles and more fitted styles, like above. So that being said I’ve rounded up my favorite mom jeans for Fall/Winter. My preference is more tighter fitting mom jeans so you’ll find more of those below! 🙂 Top 5 Mom Jeans: ASOS Boohoo H&M TopShop ASOS xo Lauren

3 Fall Items You Need in Your Closet Right Now!

Top: H&M | Jeans: Zara | Boots: Aldo (similar) | Belt: H&M | Purse: Aldo Guys, if you’re anything like me, you like to always have go-to staples in your closet for each season. Go-to staples, in my opinion, make pulling outfits together easier! A few staples can help keep you trendy and give you an effortless vibe. And what girl doesn’t want to look effortless each and every day? I know I do! For me, I like to keep my staples affordable and neutral. That way, if it’s a trendy piece it won’t be hard to part with at the end of the season. And if it’s neutral, I’ll have so much more options to pair it with! These staples are key to great styling and will help you feel fab and pulled together for the rest of Fall! 3 Fall Items You Need in Your Closet Right Now: 1. Trendy item – A Corset Top / Faux Layer Blouse Firstly, let me start off saying any trendy piece will make do here. I am just naming what I am wearing above. But, if you’re not a fan of the corset or layered top. Then try bell sleeves like here or a chenille cardigan, like here, instead! Every season, I always try to have a few really trendy pieces to play with. I love having fun with fashion and there is nothing wrong with buying a couple of trendy pieces each season! My tip would be to always save…
