Ikea Bedroom Update

Finally, a bedroom refresh for the hubs and I! After spending the last few months working on baby girls nursery, my office and painting the house, it feels so nice to make our master bedroom a relaxing and inviting space. We knew we wanted to upgrade our room but we also had a budget in mind. So, we headed online to Ikea to spruce up our room on a budget!

We wanted to keep the bedroom light and airy. We opted for a beechwood inspired bed frame, the Bjorksnas, and linen curtains. We kept our old night tables which are fake marble and gold. I was worried it would clash but they work quite nicely in the space.

We wanted to tie in the bed frame with a rattan pendant light. And luckily, Ikea just dropped the price on the Knixhult and for $50 you really can’t go wrong. I also added some Fladis baskets under our night table for extra storage and to add some of the natural element under my faux marble nightstand.

As for sheets and covers, I’m still planning on changing them to linen. But to keep to my budget, I snagged a really great duvet cover from Amazon and some highly rated sheets. Now, they aren’t my forever sheets but I can say they are super soft and I can definitely recommend them. I still am on the lookout for some more storage solutions, a new mirror, a rug and some more accessories to finish off our master bedroom space.
