Haaaappy Monday! Today I’m talking about how to look presentable for anything! And I mean anythaaang! As a business owner, I spend a lot of time meeting new people and in different meetings. But, even in the fashion industry looking presentable, classy and business professional can be very important. Luckily though, the fashion industry is a little more fun when it comes to being presentable. Nevertheless, knowing how to put yourself together for a meeting with investors, your financial advisor or even just a coffee date is really important! Here are my 3 tips on how to look presentable for anything:
DISCLAIMER: Do not mind my super messy hair! When we shot this it was SO cold and super windy (not to mention it just finished raining). So please excuse my falling out curls and my hair in my face haha 🙂Â
MY 3 TIPS ON LOOKING PRESENTABLE FOR ANYTHING:
1. INVEST IN A FEW BUSINESS CASUAL PIECES!
Since I am a business owner in the fashion industry I don’t tend to have too many business casual pieces. That being said, I do own a few business casual staples to pull together outfits when I need to look a little more business savvy. My first tip would be invest in a good black blazer, a nice pair of trousers and a staple blouse. BUT, if your like me a “trendier” pair of trousers that can be taken from day to night will do! The trousers I’m wearing above are from Zara and are a nice looser fitting trouser with a medium high waist. They are easy to wear with most items in the closet and can easily make you look presentable.
2. Â NEUTRALS ARE ALWAYS IN!
One of my favourite style tips that will always #win time and time again are neutrals! When you don’t know what to wear or how to pair something together, think neutrals. When I’m going into a more serious meeting (like with investors), I try to show my style but to keep it classic too. My favourite combo is a nude pair of heels, a neutral bag and a white top. You can never go wrong with nude pumps and a clean palette like white and black!
3. MIX AND MATCH, BABY!
Now looking presentable doesn’t have to be stuffy! Depending on what you are trying to look presentable for can really vary on what you can wear. An obvious example would be distressed denim with a nice blazer or a pair of trousers and a moto jacket (like above). The key factor is always have a classic piece mixed in with something trendier, and finish off with a nice heel. Following this formula will make sure you are always looking right on point!
I hope you enjoyed this post and I’ve also linked similar trousers that I am dying to get my hands are below!
Yes, I agree with all of these! Especially the neutrals are always in tip! 🙂
