3 Easy Ways to be Effortlessly Casual with Suns Shoes

Truthfully, I am not much of a casual girl. It is always a struggle for me to find something casual to wear. I tend to buy more trendy pieces to wear out or on a date, then to run around in. I do have a drawer full of yoga pants like most girls. But, when it comes to just a walk to grab an ice cream and I still want to look cute I really don’t have much!

Obviously, my blog’s name is Basic Babe for a reason. That reason being that I tend to be more on the minimalistic side when dressing for whichever occasion. But recently, I’ve been trying to stock up on literally more basic’s for day’s I want to dress more casual and comfy.  That being said I don’t want to be casual and boring, because that’s no fun, lol! So I’ve made up a few rules I like to stick to when I want to look effortlessly casual:

3 Easy Ways to be Effortlessly Casual:

1. A cute pair of kicks goes a long way! (especially when they change colours!!)

First things first, a cute pair of shoes is a must to really master the effortlessly casual look. If your shoes ain’t cute then that’s your first problem, girl! These Suns shoes are really the coolest kicks I own. They literally are two shoes in one (huge score for a shoe lover like me)! They are white inside and blue in the sun! And I mean like a deep and vibrant blue! I also love how they are a pale blue in the shadows, like in the pictures above. Not only are they pretty to look at, but, are they ever comfy! They have memory foam inside and I feel like I’m walking on a cloud with every step I take! They’re also available in kids sizes too! 2. Hats are always a good idea!

Hats are a good idea for so many reasons. Obviously, they protect your face from the sun and give your outfit that little somethin’ somethin’ it needs! I chose a suede baseball cap for this look. But a floppy sun hat or even a smaller sun hat would have looked really chic with this look too!

3. Layer, layer, layer!

I personally love the look of a jean jacket or a light long sleeve tied around a dress! It can cinch your waist and create a more effortless look too. Plus, I hate being even a little cold when the temperatures start to cool in the evening!
