Fall Must: A Pleated Midi Skirt

Top: Tobi c/o | Skirt: H&M (this colour isn’t available online – other colours here)| Purse: H&M (similar) | Shoes: Charlotte Russe (similar) | Sunglasses: Shades Crush c/o I have never honestly been a midi girl until this Summer. I’ve always thought I was waaaaaaay too short to wear a midi skirt until I randomly bought one from Boohoo a few months back. You can see that skirt here. After rocking this skirt all Summer long I decided to add another midi to my closet! It was actually Qais who sniped this skirt first. Which is weird since he always zones out when we go shopping, lol! He told me he really liked it and so I decided to try it on and LOVED it! It reminds me of Christmas, for whatever reason, and I think I’ll be wearing it to church for our Christmas Eve service. Majorly thinking ahead, I know! Anyway, I am really into this colour and the pleats are just perfect! I wanted to make it not look so dressed up so I paired it with this lace up sleeve crop from Tobi. Which, would totally look cute with some high waisted denim too! I wasn’t sure if I could pull this top off since I tend to gravitate to a bit more feminine. But I think it really works with this skirt! PS.. you may see this skirt again in the next few weeks with a dainty blouse! I just love it that much!!…

Summer Crush: The White Midi Skirt

Bodysuit: Boohoo (my fave ‘skinny’ bodysuit!) | Skirt: Boohoo (sale!) | Shoes: Charlotte Russe (similar) | Purse: Foley + Corinna | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Bracelet: Paul Hewitt I would say I am a definite skirt girl through and through. I love the ease of wearing skirts and the endless pairing options wearing skirts come with. But, like most women, I have a type I tend to always gravitate to. And that would be the mini skirt. I’ve been a huge fan of the mini skirt for years now, probably since high school. But as I’m getting older, I’m finding I want pieces that are classier and have more coverage! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not giving up the mini, I’ve just fallen in love with the midi skirt! Now, depending on your height midi’s may not be for you. I feel like I just make the cut off at 5″5 and if I was any shorter I may have really made myself look short! What I love about wearing a midi skirt is how classy you feel! It really makes you feel like a lady, lol. I know that’s totally lame but it definitely gives off total feminine vibes. This one here is from Boohoo and I paired it with one of my favourite bodysuits (makes you like like 10x smaller!). The skirt fits TTS but the bodysuit is a little snug if you order your true size. I mean it’s a bodysuit so it should be snug, but if you’d…

My Top 5 Side Slit Skirts for Spring!

Skirt: M Boutique (similar here and here) | Top: H&M (love this one here) | Jacket: H&M (sold out – similar here) | Purse: Le Chateau (under $50!) | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Shoes: Forever 21 (under $30!) Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a relaxing long weekend spent with friends and family. Qais (pronounced K-ICE – like dice with a k) and I had Good Friday and Easter Sunday off, so we didn’t get a long weekend, but we enjoyed taking our time and enjoying the day! On Thursday evening we saw The Fate of the Furious with our pups at the drive in. On Friday we enjoyed the day in the city and went to one of our favourite places to eat (and has the best margaritas!) El Catrin. And then on Sunday we spent the morning shooting, enjoying coffee at Dark Horse and then having a homemade meal with our fam, courtesy of my husband! This look has become one of my go-to looks as the weather warms up! I’ve had this skirt since last Spring and love the cut and the length of it. I find it’s the perfect transitional skirt into Spring because of the coverage of the leg. So when their is a slight coolness in the air it keeps me warm and I just throw my beloved moto jacket over a tank or a tee! I actually wear this outfit more then I would like to admit, lol, it’s just one of my go-to’s when I have no…
