My Favourite Places to Shop for Workout Clothing

Sports Bra (under $50) | Pants (under $100) | Shoes Hi guys! After posting the picture above to my Instagram, I got so many questions about where I like to shop for my workout clothing. I personally love affordable workout pieces that will last, that are comfortable and that are cute of course! I have a few places I like to shop based on price point and what I’m looking for in my workout clothing. My Favourite Places to Shop for Workout Clothing: 1. Shop Avacado The outfit I’m wearing above is from Shop Avacado and it is HANDS DOWN my favorite workout clothes I’ve ever worn. They are seamless and ultra soft! They come in two sizes XS-S and M-L. I am normally a size 6 and got the pants in an XS/S and the sports bra in M/L! 2. Stronger I love Stronger’s beautiful workout clothes! They are super stylish and well-made. Stronger is such a great brand for matching sets and they are great to work out in too! 3. Lorna Jane Lorna Jane has some amazing quality pieces that fit perfectly, moisture wicking and stylish! I love how you can even shop for jackets/hoodies and even accessories! One of my favorite and most supportive sports bras are from Lorna Jane. This bra is great for HIIT workouts, jogging or any type of cardio! 4. Forever 21 Not going to lie. I buy my fair share of workout clothing from F21 too! I love to buy leggings…

Stripes for Spring

Top (similar) | Shorts (similar) | Shoes (similar) All the humpday vibes in this Spring look! Pretty sure this is my #springuniform and I am totally loving it. Stripes, high waisted shorts, and a cute wide brim hat! Yessss, please! I mean, you can’t go wrong with stripes either. Am I right? And red for me is new too, but I was feeling a bit of a change! If you need to add some fun pieces to your Spring wardrobe then add some crops. Trust me! I’ve never been a crop top fan until very recently. Now I feel like I’ve been missing out for so long, lol. This red stripe number is from F21 and so easy, breezy to wear. I paired it with my fave throwback 90’s jeans from Urban Outfitters. Which you DEFINITELY need for Spring and Summer. Trust me, again! They are forgiving (perfect for brunch), comfy and flattering! I love easy looks that look so effortless. And this look is definitely that! I say, have some fun in this warm weather and show a little skin gf! Why not! xo Lauren SaveSaveSaveSave SaveSave

Crop Top Season

Top | Jeans | Shoes (similar) | Purse Happy Monday, babes! Finally saying hello from a warm AND sunny Toronto (yay!). I feel like this has been the longest Winter ever and I am SO excited to bust out all of my Spring and Summer clothes. If we have one more cold day here in Toronto I don’t know what I’ll do. I mean I’ve already put away all my Winter stuff. So Spring better be staying! This season I am planning on wearing a tooooon of crop tops. I’ve been crazy about crop tops this season. I love the look of a distressed pair of jeans and a cute crop top to boot. It’s just so simple and cute. Plus, it’s screams warm weather and after such a long Winter, I want all my looks to scream warm weather. I bought this Jurassic Park tee from Forever 21 cause my hubby is so obsessed with the movie and wants to see the new one, so it reminded me of him! 🙂 I, for one, am all about the 90’s Jurassic Park movies. I’m not a huge fan of the new ones! It’s just not the same. Just saying… Anyways I’ll be shopping all the crop tops for Spring and can’t wait to show you guys and style them all! What’s your fave way to wear crop tops? xo Lauren

Currently Crushing On: Faux Fleece Pullovers

Sweater | Pants | Shoes | Hat | Purse Yay for Friday! And yay for super-cosy-and-seriously-warm sweaters! Cause this Canadian girl is so over the cold and nothing beats a comfy soft sweater to help ease the pain of Winter! But for real though, this sweater is everythaaaang! And they’ve been everywhere for good reason! I honestly don’t dress like this out much. But I might start now! When I was shooting this look I was seriously in heaven wearing this pullover. The only thing that was weird was not wearing heels. I’m a total heels girl so no heels are weird for me lol! Anyways, we just released this two-tone faux fleece pullover at Shop Basic Babe. It’s easily my favourite sweater in the shop. And it’s the perfect sweater for basically every woman. It’s just so easy to throw on and go. It definitely makes a statement in a good way. And most importantly, it is WARM! Like soooo warm. Totally Canadian approved! So if you’re looking to expand your sweater collection in the near future then this baby is it! Plus, I love the light beige colour so it goes with everything! Which is always nice. Have a great weekend and I’ll talk to you guys Monday!! xo Lauren

The Must Try Fall Trend for Every Girl!

Top: Forever 21 (similar) | Jeans: Zara | Boots: Aldo (similar)| Purse: Forever 21 (similar) One of my favourite parts of being a fashion blogger is trying all the trends and making them my own! I’ve said this already this season, but daaaang the trends for Fall are GOOD! Sometimes trends are just so out there and not practical for every woman. But, this Fall so many trends are practical and fashionable. Which I just love! If you there is one trend you need to follow this Fall and Winter that trend is the sock booties and the belt! I mean, giiiirl, I love a thick black belt with gold hardware and a pair of jeans. It literally looks so effortlessly stylish. And it’s obviously so practical! If you have a little more dough to spend then me. Then you need to get this gorgeous Gucci logo belt here. I am looking forward to the day I can purchase this baby. But for now, this H&M belt does the trick! And if you are looking for another trend to try out this Fall. Then sock booties paired with cropped jeans is just sooo good! Like SO good! The belt I’m wearing above is under $10 (such a steal it’s so nice!) and these booties aren’t on the Aldo website so I’ve linked some other faves below. xo Lauren

Fall Must: Olive Trousers + Knit Bell Sleeves

Trousers: TopShop | Top: F21 (similar here and here) | Purse: Official Basso c/o | Sunglasses: Nicole Miller c/o | Watch: Daniel Wellington c/o | Shoes: Aldo Okay, you guys, I love a good pair of trousers! I mean a good pair of trousers are first, SO flattering, and second so versatile and go with everythaaang! And trust me, you do know want to know how many times I’ve worn these trousers since I bought them two weeks ago. Probably way too many times but I am so obsessed! I got these olive trousers from TopShop for $75 – and they are worth every penny! The fit is right on and they are seriously so comfy! They are lightweight and are cuffed and cropped right above the ankle (another detail I love). I would totally say these are a Fall must and really even a staple. I’ve worn them in NYC for a tradeshow, for work and even with a crop top for date night. They are seriously SO versatile. Also, another item you need in your closet is a bell sleeve top! This knit white bell sleeve just gives me all the feels. I love the softness, the fit and how big the bell sleeves are. I’ve also worn this top way too many times then I care to share. But hey, clothes are meant to be worn and the more wears I get the merrier! This top I would definitely recommend buying. It’s apart of the F21 contemporary collection, which I…

How I Balance Blogging With A Full-Time Job

Bodysuit: Forever 21 | Pants: Missguided | Purse: Foley + Corinna | Sunglasses: Forever 21 (similar) | Shoes: Charlotte Russe (similar) | Bandana: Mendocino (similar) I’ve recently been getting a ton of questions about blogging, such as what I use to shoot my pictures, how I edit, and how I grew my Instagram so fast. So I thought it would be fun to start a mini blogging series where I answer some blogging questions I’ve been getting. One question I have been getting a lot of lately is if I blog full-time and if not how I balance blogging. I’m sure so many blogger babes know the #struggle of trying to run a blog and trying to pay the bills. So, I’ve decided to share how I balance blogging, work and life today on the blog! Be prepared to schedule blog work before and after work (and even on your days off too!) First and foremost. Blogging is a lot of work. I would say it’s even hard work! Between shooting pictures, writing posts, responding (or trying to) respond to comments, answering emails, picking out clothes, styling flat lays, and everything in-between it just ain’t easy! But, like all businesses, consistency is key to success! When I first started blogging I would read how some bloggers would spend 80 hours a week working on their blog. Which I actually thought was a joke! As ignorant as that was. At the beginning, I thought I would spend a few hours a…

Spring Must: Distressed Denim Skirt (under $40!)

Top: Forever 21 (similar here and here) | Skirt: Missy Empire c/o (only $32!) | Shoes: Aldo (under $100) | Purse: Aldo (similar here) | Sunglasses: Quay | Watch: Rosefield  Happy Friday guys! If you’ve been following my blog or Instagram you know I am LOVING denim for this Spring. In my last post, here, I explain how I wasn’t loving the denim dress trend until recently. And now I’m loving the denim skirt trend big time! In the past month, or so, I’ve purchased a few different denim skirts. Everything from white embroidered (read the post here), and super distressed white (read the post here), to a classic black denim skirt. It wasn’t until I received this skirt from Missy Empire until I really fell in love with the denim skirt trend. All of the skirts I mention above I really do love. But, this Missy Empire denim skirt fits so so so good! It fit’s truly like a glove, which is unlike the other skirts I wore above. I’m not saying my other skirts fit poorly (I would say the F21 skirt does actually, lol, more on that skirt probably next week). But this skirt just fits AMAZINGLY! It fit’s TTS and really gives your body a nice hour glass shape. SO, if you haven’t bought a denim skirt for the season buy this one!! I promise it won’t disappoint and I love the off center slit it has in the front, super chic! And you can really pair…

Spring Must: The Perfect Denim Skirt (under $50!)

Skirt: Missguided (available in a light wash here) | Top: Urban Planet (similar here) | Shoes: Forever 21 (only $29!) | Purse: Le Chateau | Sunglasses: Shades Crush Happy #humpday friends! Today’s post is all about the one thing that every single girl has in her closet. That thing is denim! Incase you’ve been living under a rock for the past few seasons, denim has been a major trend! From denim on denim, distressed denim, 90’s inspired denim and denim accessories. Pretty much everything has been made in denim! And I have to say I’m pretty happy about this denim trend. I am a HUGE fan of denim skirts. Basically I used to live in denim skirts all throughout high school until they were #solastyear. Do you remember how everyone used to wear Abercrombie and Hollister denim skirts with a polo (that was me and I thought I was so cool lol). Anyways, when I saw this distressed denim skirt from Missguided I was sooooo excited! Firstly, it’s white and white denim and me are two peas in a pod. And secondly, it was distressed and the perfect pencil skirt length. It truly was love at first sight. I couldn’t stop thinking of all the ways I could style this cute little number all Spring and Summer long. So when the temperatures hit 15 degrees Celsius this past Sunday I knew exactly what I was wearing! I just love the versatility of denim skirts and so many of them are waaaaay…
