Currently Crushing On: ALL things Zara

Top | Pants | Bralette | Shoes Can you guys believe it’s hump day already!? Where is this week going! It’s been one of those weeks that are blowing by and I feel like I’m not accomplishing anything, which is the worst! Hopefully, I can get back on track with all my work, getting my house ready to sell and getting pre-approved for a mortgage (which is more work then I remember, lol). Anyways, back to all things fashion, I’ve been LOVING Zara this season. Like, I’ve always been a huge fan of Zara. But DANG they are really killing it this season. I literally can’t get over their collection this season. And, this is no joke, I’ve gone to Zara once a week for the past 4 weeks. Which is excessive, I know, but SO necessary with their on-point pieces! Both my crochet top and trousers are from Zara. The top is just perfect for hot Summer days. And these trousers are sooooo comfy! Like, I’m not wearing pants comfy. You probably need to snag them, lol. I’ve linked both above and some similar options below! 🙂 xo Lauren

Currently Crushing On: Faux Fleece Pullovers

Sweater | Pants | Shoes | Hat | Purse Yay for Friday! And yay for super-cosy-and-seriously-warm sweaters! Cause this Canadian girl is so over the cold and nothing beats a comfy soft sweater to help ease the pain of Winter! But for real though, this sweater is everythaaaang! And they’ve been everywhere for good reason! I honestly don’t dress like this out much. But I might start now! When I was shooting this look I was seriously in heaven wearing this pullover. The only thing that was weird was not wearing heels. I’m a total heels girl so no heels are weird for me lol! Anyways, we just released this two-tone faux fleece pullover at Shop Basic Babe. It’s easily my favourite sweater in the shop. And it’s the perfect sweater for basically every woman. It’s just so easy to throw on and go. It definitely makes a statement in a good way. And most importantly, it is WARM! Like soooo warm. Totally Canadian approved! So if you’re looking to expand your sweater collection in the near future then this baby is it! Plus, I love the light beige colour so it goes with everything! Which is always nice. Have a great weekend and I’ll talk to you guys Monday!! xo Lauren

Currently Crushing on: GRLFRND Jeans

Jeans | Cardigan | Bodysuit | Boots (similar) | Purse   I haven’t done a currently crushing blog post in a long while and it’s definitely overdue! Especially with these GRLFRND jeans! OMG! I am obsessed. Like I would totally wear these every single day if I could! If you’ve been following me for awhile you may know that I never was a jeans girl. I could never find a pair that flattered my legs. And I could never find a pair that would hold it’s shape and look good after months of owning them. So if you are anything like I were then you need to read this post! Okay so, I’ll be honest. GRLFRND jeans may be a bit a splurge. They are a major splurge for me! I honestly don’t spend over $60 on jeans. But, you honestly do get what you pay for when it come’s to jeans. So the question is… are these couple hundred dollar jeans worth it? Yes! If you’re looking to get many, many, many wears out of jeans then these are for you! If you’re looking for jeans that will hold their shape and are available in different styles and colours to flatter your legs. Then these babies are for you! Done deal. And I’ll be super transparent too. I was gifted these jeans from Revolve. And have always wanted to buy GRLFRND jeans but couldn’t honestly justify buying them before! But I will say I would definitely save my money…

Currently Crushing On: Kimonos

Kimono: Shein (under $30!)| Bodysuit: Missguided (on sale!) | Jeans: H&M | Shoes: Similar | Purse: Le Chateau | Sunglasses: Shades Crush c/o Happy Monday from NYC! I jet back home today, but I’m trying to take in every last second here in the big city. New York is such a fun place and gives me all the style inspo feels, lol! I come to this city a few times a year and each time I come I always tell Qais if we don’t end up moving to LA we are moving to NYC. LA just has my heart because of the warm weather! Okay, I am so into kimonos! I really have always been into kimonos, so when I saw they are back in style I knew I had to get at least one showstopper kimono! Walk in Wonderland featured this kimono on her Instagram. I was SO obsessed with the kimono, but she didn’t link it and I figured it was probably out of my price range anyways! Then one day I was shopping at Zara and saw it on the rack. I ran over and tried on the last size they had left. Which was a medium but a little too big. Plus, I wasn’t a huge fan of the price ($89.95). It was nice but not $89.95 nice, lol! Fast forward to a few weeks ago and I stumbled upon the EXACT same kimono at Shein. And this is why I LOVE Shein. They always have the same thing as…

Currently Crushing On: #OTK Boots

Top: Missguided (sold out – similar) | Jeans: Zara | Boots: Marc Fisher (ON SALE – under $200!) | Purse: Old Navy (similar) | Sunglasses: Shades Crush c/o So if you’ve been following me for awhile you’ll know my love for over-the-knee boots is REAL! I would literally live in these boots all Fall and Winter long if it was possible. I’d also wear them with every outfit on my blog if that was possible too. But I think you guys would get real bored of that, lol! In all seriousness though. I am just a lover of all boots over-the-knee. And this year is the first year I decided to #treatmyself and buy a nicer pair of boots! I snagged these at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale for just under $200 and I’m in love. I know that’s not much to spend on boots, but your girl bought a pair of black #otk for under $100 last year! And I would never spend so little again after having these babies on my feet, lol! They fit TTS, are made of high-quality faux suede and are the perfect pointed toe! They also stay up on your leg when you’re wearing them with a dress. Which is amazing! I struggled with my otk boots falling down every time I took a step last year, lol! So if you are in the market for a new pair of over-the-knee boots, look no further! These are awesome and ON SALE! So a total win-win. xo…

Currently Crushing On: Fall Florals

Dress: Missguided | Shoes: Sam Edelman (under $50!) | Purse: H&M (similar) | Sunglasses: Nicole Miller Guys, two things you really need to get into if you haven’t already. Fall florals and wrap dresses! They are the two best prints and styles for Fall, in my opinion, and I am totally crushing hard on them! If you haven’t jumped on the wrap dress bandwagon from Summertime, then you need to NOW! It seriously is so flattering on so many body types and makes such an easy pull-together look. I have been stocking up on as many as I can get my hands on after buying my first wrap dress here, lol!  This dress from Missguided is more like a faux wrap dress since it doesn’t actually wrap. But it gives it that wrap dress illusion, which I like! I actually featured it as one of my top 5’s on this post here. I couldn’t resist it and ended taking the plunge and purchasing it! I mean it was 50% off so why not?! My second major crush is florals for Fall. Florals are obvious for Spring, but florals for Fall are amazing too! I especially love black florals but I’ve been really into yellow and mustard lately, so I am really digging these lighter ones too! Currently Crushing On: Eyelet and Ruffles LBD

Dress: H&M (only $19!!!) | Shoes: Charlotte Russe (similar) | Purse: Aldo (similar) | Sunglasses: Aldo (similar) | Lipstick: CoverGirl Katy Perry Coral Cat Okay, this dress is everythaaaang! But seriously, it actually is the perfect LBD. It has everything you’re looking for in a LBD. The ruffles and eyelets combined make it the perfect combo that you can wear almost anywhere! To think I was about to pass up on this dress too! I saw it at H&M and showed Qais. He told me he didn’t like it at all, so I decided to pass. He’s kinda like my brain for shopping, lol! Sometimes I get so overwhelmed and want everything. So what I do is ask him to see if he likes it and if he doesn’t I usually pass! But I kept coming back to the dress thinking maybe I could pull it off. I’ve never bought an LBD with eyelets and ruffles before. And I generally don’t buy many things with ruffles or eyelets either! I decided to take a super quick look at the price (cause ya never know…) and once I saw it was only $19 I knew I was gonna try it! So basically making a long story short is I wore it once for work and couldn’t stop wearing it! I’ve worn it 5 times in one week which I usually don’t do with any of my clothes. But it’s so so good that I just can’t stop, lol!! It is see…

Currently Crushing On: Little White Shirt Dress

Dress: SheIn c/o (only $23.99!!) | Shoes: Charlotte Russe (similar here) | Purse: H&M | Sunglasses: Aldo (similar here) Lately, I have been totally loving shirt dresses! They are so versatile, super easy to style and literally look good with any bag or shoe. I love wearing shirt dresses with a heeled sandals and a cute crossbody bag for a complete look! When I saw this shirt dress at Shein I knew I wanted it and loved how it was maxi length. I also loved how it was white because what girl doesn’t love a breezy white dress in the Summer? When I first tried it on Qais told me it looked like I was wearing a lab coat, lol! So I was honestly a little nervous to wear it out! But after he saw it styled he told me he liked it. So I hope he was telling the truth!! This dress fits true to size. It is majorly see through so just wear a slip under it! I’m just wearing a black bodycon skirt underneath because I couldn’t find a white or nude slip. It doesn’t have buttons which I wish it did. But overall it’s such an easy dress and perfect with a pair of sandals or heels! And it’s only $23.99 so you can’t go wrong adding this to your cart!

Currently Crushing On: Baby Blue for Spring!

Skirt: GoJane c/o (on sale!) | Top: Zara (old – but this top would be cute with it!) | Shoes: Forever 21 ( love these here and similar here) | Purse: Le Chateau (under $50!) | Sunglasses: Shades Crush c/o Yay for hump day! This Spring season I have been trying to experiment as much as possible with new styles and new colours. I have a strong love for black, white and grey clothes. But I really love some colour in the Spring and Summer and made it my goal to incorporate it as much as possible! Baby blue has been a pretty popular colour this season. I can’t say I have ever owned a baby blue piece before. But when I saw this baby blue tie up skirt from Go Jane I loved the colour and of course the tie up on the front. I did a previous post a few weeks back about my love for tie up skirts. You can read that post here. This skirt is such a simple skirt but the colour makes it really stand out. I love baby blue and white together so that was a no brainer for me! And I finished the look a flattering pair of heeled sandals and my favorite Chloe Faye dupe (which is under $49 BTW!). I also decided to round up a few of my favorite baby blue pieces I’m swooning over!

Currently Crushing On: Palm Print

Top: Zaful c/o (under $20!!) | Shorts: Forever 21 (similar here)| Shoes: Converse (on sale!) | Sunglasses: Shades Crush c/o | Necklace: BaubleBar | Watch: Akribos XXIV Happy Monday and happy long weekend to my Canadian readers! I love a good long weekend and this weekend is actually extra long for Qais and I. We will be leaving for the cottage tomorrow (so excited!) for two nights away from the hustle and bustle of life! The cottage we go to is a cottage resort. So it features an on-site spa and restaurant so it’s a mix of the cottage life with some city amenities. Anways, I have been LOVING palm print anything and everything these days. A few weeks ago I wore this palm print dress, here, and it’s still one of my most popular outfit posts. Something about palm print just screams Summer and I am obsessed! I found this off the shoulder palm print top from Zaful. It’s flowy and is the perfect top to throw on with a pair of white shorts and some kicks. I am really feeling the OTS trend and especially love wearing it with white. I love white pants, shorts, skirts. Lol, that’s another topic for another day though! Not only is this shirt really cute but it’s under $20! It’s a definitively a steal and a great top to add into your Summer wardrobe rotation!
