3 Spring Pieces I Can’t Stop Wearing

Top (sold out – similar) | Skirt | Shoes  I really should re-name this blog post 3 Summer essentials I can’t stop wearing, because it is HOT in Toronto. It’s basically Summer temps and guess what? I am LOVING every second so it can stay forever, basically. With warm temps comes the cutest wardrobe essentials. And here are a few pieces I can’t stop wearing this Spring… 3 Spring Pieces I Can’t Stop Wearing: 1. Linen Button Up’s Button up blouses and tops are all the rage this season and I’m all about it! Unlike the classic button-up shirt. This Spring, button up’s have made a return with big contrasting buttons. Frilly sleeves and lightweight material perfect for Spring and Summer. I am all about this trend for its comfort and it’s effortless look. I love wearing my button-up from Zara for meeting’s tucked in jeans. And for a Summer evening out with my hubs tucked into a skirt. It’s really SO versatile and I literally can’t stop wearing it this Spring! 2. Denim Skirts Once again, the classic denim skirt has graced us with her presence! Last Summer I couldn’t get enough of this staple. And this Spring/Summer I can’t get enough of this classic re-mastered with it’s distressed and asymmetrical details! I love wearing my denim skirt with every Spring staple you can think of. Tee’s, tanks and even bikini tops! Hands down the easiest piece to style in my closet. 3. Mules I am SO happy mules are still…

My 5 Favourite Spots in NYC

Qais and I are back from our super quick trip to NYC! I absolutely love NYC and travel there a ton for work. It’s becoming my home away from home! After over 5 years of traveling back and forth between Toronto and NYC, I feel like I have a few must-visit places in the city everytime I’m there. Here are my 5 favourite spots in the big apple… My 5 Favourite Spots in NYC: 1. My favourite place to stay: Ink 48 Hands down, Ink 48 is my go-to hotel in the city. Between its contemporary space, spacious rooms, delicious restaurant in the lobby and breathtaking rooftop this hotel truly has it all! Not to mention Ink 48 has a complimentary happy hour serving red and white wine to guests. I mean, a complimentary happy hour is a big win in my books! The beds are cozy, the pillows are soft and the customer service is really above and beyond. And if you’re looking for a good time without spending $$ on a taxi, the Ink is for you!   2. My favourite place for a cocktail AND a view: The Press Lounge Located on the roof of Ink 48, the Press Lounge is a must visit for a cocktail and a beyond amazing view of Midtown! I can’t get enough of this picturesque space and love spending my nights sipping on rosé and taking in the view while lounging on the outdoor couches. And, don’t worry if you visit in…

Babydoll Romper

Romper | Shoes | Purse | Hat I have a question for you! Have you been to Zara lately? Cause if you haven’t, girrrl, you’ve got to get your tush over there! Zara is killing the game (as usual) and this babydoll romper is a definite must-have in my books! Firstly, does this romper not look like the cutest baby doll dress? And the thing is. It IS a baby doll dress. And it IS a romper too! Major score in my books! I can sit, run, climb (lol jk) and basically do whatever without worrying about my mini dress blowing up. Once I saw this dress I knew I loved it. But once I saw it was a romper I was SOLD. Ca-ching (that’s the register, lol). Sorry, I’m full of bad jokes today! Basically, this blog post is a PSA for you to snag this babydoll romper! It also comes in black too if you’re accident prone wearing all white. Which is me! I’m totally considering getting it in black too though… xo Lauren SaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSave SaveSave

Then no worries, I’m gonna break them down and tell you what you need to try! And girl, give them a go. Cause fashion should be fun! So let’s just jump straight to it… 3 Spring Staples, You Need Right Now: 1. The Newsboy Cap I’ll admit it, I was really scared to try this trend. And truthfully, it’s not just a Spring trend as it’s been kicking around for awhile. But, if you try only 1 trend this season, please try the newsboy cap! it is such a cute hate that makes such a statement with your outfit. Plus, you can wear it with everything. A blouse and skirt, a pair of jeans and a tee and your favorite dress! It really is such a versatile accessory that needs to be tried! 2. The Kick Flare Jean I have a whole entire blog post on the kick flare jean! These jeans I’m wearing are more of a straight crop though, but still SO good! If you’re looking to add jeans to your Spring wardrobe, please, do not pass these styles up! They are so chic, effortless and give every outfit an extra oomph. I always look for high-waisted versions of these styles too. Cause high waisted jeans is just the way to go! 3. The Crop Top Okay,…

Stripes for Spring

Top (similar) | Shorts (similar) | Shoes (similar) All the humpday vibes in this Spring look! Pretty sure this is my #springuniform and I am totally loving it. Stripes, high waisted shorts, and a cute wide brim hat! Yessss, please! I mean, you can’t go wrong with stripes either. Am I right? And red for me is new too, but I was feeling a bit of a change! If you need to add some fun pieces to your Spring wardrobe then add some crops. Trust me! I’ve never been a crop top fan until very recently. Now I feel like I’ve been missing out for so long, lol. This red stripe number is from F21 and so easy, breezy to wear. I paired it with my fave throwback 90’s jeans from Urban Outfitters. Which you DEFINITELY need for Spring and Summer. Trust me, again! They are forgiving (perfect for brunch), comfy and flattering! I love easy looks that look so effortless. And this look is definitely that! I say, have some fun in this warm weather and show a little skin gf! Why not! xo Lauren SaveSaveSaveSave SaveSave

Friday Faves – What I’ve been loving lately: This workout right here! SO good! I love the personal trainer here too. He’s so good at keeping up the energy, he’s funny and I’ve learned a lot doing a few of his videos! His workout is definitely worth the try if you want to challenge yourself and feel the burn! I’ve been changing up where I’ve been shopping lately and obviously need to share it with you guys! Firstly, Marshalls contemporary section is so good you guys!! 5 Midi Dresses You Need for Spring

Dress (sold out similar here)| Shoes | Purse (similar) Midi dress season is OFFICIALLY here and I am so into it this year! There are SO many good styles this season and I literally want to buy them all. Like every. Single. Dress. Just being honest! Okay, so I know midis can be a hit or a miss. If you’re on the shorter side I get you may be scared to try this style. My tip would be, pair a midi dress with some killer high heels. Elongate those legs and rock the midi dress! It’s such a great length and looks so classy. In my opinion! I’ve also been into a deep V cut lately. Which is so unlike me. And if you’ve been following me for awhile you definitely already know that. I decided to try a sexier neckline and think it can be tastefully done! The deep V neckline brings all the warm weather vibes. And after our harsh Canadian Winter, I need all the warm weather vibes I can get! #truth Anyways, here are my fave 5 midi dresses that I’m dying to add to cart at the moment: 5 Midi Dresses You Need for Spring: Mura Boutique Revolve Forever 21 Asos Free People xo Lauren

Crop Top Season

Top | Jeans | Shoes (similar) | Purse Happy Monday, babes! Finally saying hello from a warm AND sunny Toronto (yay!). I feel like this has been the longest Winter ever and I am SO excited to bust out all of my Spring and Summer clothes. If we have one more cold day here in Toronto I don’t know what I’ll do. I mean I’ve already put away all my Winter stuff. So Spring better be staying! This season I am planning on wearing a tooooon of crop tops. I’ve been crazy about crop tops this season. I love the look of a distressed pair of jeans and a cute crop top to boot. It’s just so simple and cute. Plus, it’s screams warm weather and after such a long Winter, I want all my looks to scream warm weather. I bought this Jurassic Park tee from Forever 21 cause my hubby is so obsessed with the movie and wants to see the new one, so it reminded me of him! 🙂 I, for one, am all about the 90’s Jurassic Park movies. I’m not a huge fan of the new ones! It’s just not the same. Just saying… Anyways I’ll be shopping all the crop tops for Spring and can’t wait to show you guys and style them all! What’s your fave way to wear crop tops? xo Lauren
