My 3 Tips On How To Wear Winter Whites!

Sweater: Old (similar here) | Denim: Charlotte Russe (on sale!) | Jacket: H&M (sold out – similar here) | Boots: Forever 21 | Sunglasses: Shades Crush | Purse: Aldo (similar here) Today’s post is all about Winter whites! I personally wear white all throughout the Winter and Summer. I just love a good pair of white jeans and can’t resist adding them in to my weekly wardrobe rotation. I have a lot of people tell me they’re too scared to add white into their Winter wardrobe! So I’ve decided to write a post on my 3 steps on how to wear winter whites: (also, this is my first time wearing boyfriend cut jeans and I’m not sure they’re for me…) 1. KEEP IT COZY So this step is for all my casual girls who want to wear white! The easiest way to turn white into a winter white is to pair it with a cozy knit. Nothing screams Winter then an oversized cardi or your favourite cable knit sweater. And, the perk about white denim is they practically go with any colour! I love wearing my white denim with a sweater tucked in. It’s a perfect look for running errands, a casual date night or even for work! Now, if you want to turn Winter white into Winter glam, you can totally substitute your cozy knit for your cutest blouse! Voila… two easy ways on how to wear Winter whites already! 2. IT’S ALL IN THE COLOURS Another tip on…

Date Night Look: Cozy and Chic

Coat: Missguided (on sale!) | Turtleneck: Seven Sisters (similar here) | Skirt: H&M (sold out – similar here) | Boots: Forever 21 | Sunglasses: Shades Crush (only $10!) | Purse: Le Chateau (old – love this one here) Happy Monday! Today I am sharing a look I wore on date night the past weekend. Date night outfit ideas always stump me for some reason! Even after being married I still like to pull a look together to surprise my husband (which can be hard as he shoots all my looks!). So for my last date night I wanted to wear something that was chic but still cozy for this mild but rainy Winter we’ve been having! Okay so clearly I am a thigh high boot addict! I just love how they complete the look and take it up a notch. These thigh high boots from Forever 21 (under $60) have a stiletto heel which I LOVE for date night. It elongates the leg so nicely and just gives it that extra oomph the outfit needs. And obviously no girl can go wrong with a pair of beautiful black boots, am I right?! Since it’s been so rainy I’ve been wanting to feel cozy, even on date night. Cozy to me equals knits that are oversized! But I didn’t want my oversized turtleneck to ruin my date night outfit so I decided to wear one of my favourite skirts and give the turtleneck the classic tuck-in move. Such an easy way…

Winter Fave: This Little Suede Skirt (Under $20!)

Skirt: Missguided (on sale!) | Top: Seven Sisters (similar here) | Boots: Coconuts by Matisse | Purse: Aldo (old – love this one) | Sunglasses: Forever 21 | Watch: Rosefield Lately, I’ve been really into suede everything. From suede booties to moto jackets and even little suede skirts. I just feel like suede is such a cold weather item and adds so much texture and warmth to a look! This little purple suede skirt has been everything since I received it a few weeks ago! When searching for a new skirt I mainly focus on a few things. First, I want a skirt that is going to fit and flatter me perfectly. Second, I look for detailing to add some character. And lastly, I look at price and wearability (I want to get maximum wear out of it!). So when I was browsing Missguided’s sale page and saw this number I just knew it was meant to be! And can we talk about the detail in this skirt? I can’t get over the gold zipper and the front slit! These details really add so much character and make this skirt a unique piece to own. I also love how flattering this skirt is. It’s naturally built with a little shape which gives me the hips I don’t have! I paired it with my most fave bodysuit (literally wear this with everything) and my new Coconut by Matisse booties that I snagged from Nordstrom rack. Off topic from the post but…

Winter Must: Fuzzy Bear Sweater

Fuzzy Sweater: H&M (old – similar here) | Top: Zara (similar here) | Boots: Forever 21 | Purse: Aldo (old – love this one) | Sunglasses: Aldo (similar here) | Watch: Rosefield If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ll see how much I’ve been loving the mild weather here in Toronto! Like, reeeeally loving the weather. So much so I’ve left my home without a Winter jacket multiple times! Now I’m not crazy and still wear a sweater or a light jacket outside. And I’ve been really into this fuzzy sweater trend that’s been all the rage this Winter. It’s chic, stylish and obviously warm! Honestly, when I first pulled this out of my closet I was a little worried to wear it. It’s a short and wide cut, which can be an unflattering fit for me. I have a short upper body and no hips so boxy can equal major fashion disaster. But, I decided to give this fuzzy sweater one more go before writing it off completely! I paired this fuzzy sweater with a flowy boho blouse to add texture and a touch of sheerness to the look. It helps distract the eye from the boxy shoulders and create more detail in the outfit. Adding a pair of high heel booties help create length and elongate my whole body. Overall, I think this fuzzy sweater is a keeper and will be making it’s weekly rotation in my closet! яндекс Whats your favourite way to style your fuzzy…

Style Steal: Under $60 Winter Coat

Coat: Missguided | Top: H&M (on sale!) | Denim: Zara (similar here) | Purse: BP (sold out – similar here) | Boots: Forever 21 | Sunglasses: Gild and Lily (similar here) | Watch: Rosefield (similar here) It’s Monday! And to start the week off right I decided to share a MAJOR style steal! Like, really major. So if you live in a cold climate and are looking to score a new jacket that is warm and stylish, then I gotchu’ with this under $60 winter coat. So first off, I have been on the longest search looking for a longline coat or a trench coat. Ideally I wanted a camel jacket or a light grey one. And obviously I didn’t want to spend too much (I was really looking for under $100). Realistically, jackets are one of those items that you should probably splurge on. They are an investment that needs to fit correctly and to be warm, obvious right? I tried on so many jackets from Forever 21 that were between $50 to $60 dollars but they honestly had the worst fit. Now don’t get me wrong. I love this jacket from Forever 21 here. But let’s be real, Forever 21 can be a hit or miss when it comes to fit! So, after much online searching and many abandoned carts I finally found the one! And can we just talk about the price on this jacket? It’s only $54.00 (reduced from $108.00). How amazing is that! And after actually…

Date Night Look: Under $100

Top: Dynamite | Skirt: Charlotte Russe | Boots: Aldo (sold out – similar here) | Purse: Aldo (old – love this one) | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Watch: Rosefield Happy #friyay! Today I’m sharing a really quick and easy date night outfit for under $100 in honor of Friday night date night. My hubby and I go on date night every week, it’s really rare that we ever miss a date. We have been together for 9 years (married for 2 of those 9) and I still love to dress up for him. Corny, but true. I really like to mix casual pieces into my date night look to make it more practical and comfortable. And since our date nights usually revolve around eating (huge foodie here!), wearing something comfortable always helps when I “accidentally” over-indulge! 🙂 If you saw my last post you would know how I am for mixing Summer pieces into my Winter wardrobe (you can read my tips about that here). This look was no exception and this Charlotte Russe skirt was a piece that I bought last Summer. I love pairing last season items with current season trends. It’s such an easy way to create a different outfit over and over again. Anyway, to finish off this look and to add a bit of comfort I paired this skirt with my Dynamite off-the-shoulder choker top. And my all time favorite thigh high boots! Both skirt and top are on sale right now! (I’ve linked them below and above)…

How To Incorporate Your Summer Pieces Into Your Winter Wardrobe!

Jean Jacket: Winners (similar here) | Denim: Zara (similar here) | Sweater: Zara (similar here) | Boots: Chinese Laundry (old – similar here & here) | Purse: Aldo (old – similar here) | Sunglasses: Gild and Lily (similar here) | Watch: Rosefield | Necklace: Baublebar As a self-proclaimed shopping addict, learning to control my spending habit is key. I could easily spend $500 shopping at my fave online retailer within 10 minutes, if paying my mortgage and buying groceries weren’t necessary. I’ve obviously had to learn self-control and learn to mix and my match my wardrobe endlessly to create different looks. I honestly have such a hard time trying to create a variety of looks. Because of that, I’ve really had to learn to play with colours, textures and even incorporating previous season pieces to achieve endless options. So inspired by my above look I’ve decided to share my go-to steps on how to incorporate your Summer pieces into your Winter wardrobe!: 1. PICK A WHITE OR NEUTRAL PIECE As you probably know, each season has it’s own colour palette. Spring and Summer colours tend to be light, such as pastels, and will be a little off trend to incorporate into Winter. Plus, I don’t know many people who want to wear mint in the Winter! The easiest way to incorporate any Summer piece, whether it’s your fave dress, skirt or shirt, is to stick to white or neutrals. 2. ADD A LITTLE BIT OF CHUNK The best way to pull together a…
