Bootie Crush (& they’re under $50!)

Suede Jacket | Bodysuit | Skirt | Booties | Purse | Necklace | Sunglasses Happy Friday! Which means happy date night (or possibly day date if you’re like my hubby and I!). Casual date outfit ideas for day dates can be difficult, especially if your not a denim girl like me. When I think date I automatically think dresses, skirts and a pair of cute heels. Although, casual date ideas doesn’t need to be so blah and can be a easy look to pull off if you just mix some evening pieces with some casual daytime pieces. But first, I just snagged this faux suede jacket and these sweet pair of booties from Forever 21 this past week. And I. Am. OBSESSED. If your looking for a pair of booties that can transition from day to night and are under $50 these are for you girl. AND if your looking for a nice faux suede jacket that is under $100 this is also for you! Both of these pieces can easily transition from day to night effortlessly. I paired this jacket with my vegan leather skirt from Zara to make it more daytime but still chic enough for a date. Of course I had to wear my new booties with the extra pointy toe to pull the whole look together. Basically, my trick for casual day date outfit ideas is just mix your casual pieces with your evening pieces. Your casual day pieces will tone down your nighttime pieces instantly and create an…

Style Dupe: Thigh High Boots for Under $60

Jacket | Dress (sold out – similar here) | Boots | Purse (old – similar here) | Sunglasses (similar here) Lately, I’ve had a crazy obsession with two things: the thigh high boots style and finding dupes of the Stuart Weitzman boots for under $100. I didn’t think I would find a nice looking pair of thigh high boots for under $100 and was ready to splurge for the sake of style. But, I stumbled across these thigh high boots style without even trying to find them (don’t you snag the best pieces when your not looking for them!?). I have to say that these are no Stuart Weitzman boots when it comes to comfort, but, they will definitely do the trick looks wise. No lie when I tell you that I found these fabulous boots at Forever 21 for under $60! I was so shocked at the price I even tried these on without looking at the size. Thankfully they were my size and the very last pair. Totally meant to be. Totally. As for fit, they fit great! True to size and even stay up on my leg. I love the pointed toe and the faux suede looks pretty good too. Overall, these dupes were worth it and I am so excited about them! My recommendation… get a pair for yourself!     Shop My Look:

Thigh High Socks

Top (similar here) | Coat (similar here) | Skirt (similar here ) | Thigh High Socks | Booties (similar here) | Purse | Sunglasses It’s Hump day and more importantly it’s 4 days away until Christmas! Can you believe how fast December flew by? It’s crazy!  Today I’m sharing one of my essentials for skirts and dresses. I tend to gravitate towards skirts and dresses over denim for most days. Because of how much I like to wear them I try and change up tights for thigh high socks and a cute pair of booties! I absolutely love the look of thigh high anything right now, whether it’s thigh high boots or socks! The look of thigh high socks paired with a skater skirt is casual but so chic looking. Another way I like styling these socks is with a LBD and a oversized cardigan. Really any dress or skirt go well with a pair of thigh high socks. So in my opinion, I think you need these babies in your closet! And as sheer as these socks look, they do provide a little warmth for cold Winter days. As a matter of fact I’ve been steadily rocking these socks a few times a week! If your not sure how thigh high boots will look on you definitely try a pair of thigh high socks. They’re relatively cheap (you can find them at Forever 21 for about $10) and they make a great addition to your Winter wardrobe! Blast off to the…

Winter Staple

Vest: Aritzia | Top: Forever 21 (similar here) | Skirt: H&M (sold out – similar here) | Boots: Melrose & Market | Purse: BP | Sunglasses: Aldo (similar here) Happy weekend! Hopefully where you’re from isn’t as cold as Toronto right now. We are currently experiencing temperatures as low as -20 celsius and a lot of snow! Believe it or not, the day we shot these pictures it was actually mild. Definitely not as cold as it looks, believe me! Right now my go-to staple is my fur vest from Aritzia. It’s really such a staple because of the versatility (and because it is so warm!). I love paring this vest over a long sleeve basic dress or a blouse to dress it up a little. Or it can be paired with denim, leather leggings or even over a turtle neck for extra warmth. I’m a huge fan of having a select few  extra warm and extra cozy pieces in my Winter wardrobe rotation. Such as this faux fur vest, an oversized cardigan and over the knee black boots. A few Winter staples make it easy to create a variety of different looks to keep you warm (which is pretty much the most important thing, right?) and, of course, stylish. For more of an oversized look size up on the fur vest!   Shop my look:

Oversized Cardigan

Taken on the iPhone 6 Cardigan: Forever 21 | Dress: Zara (similar here) | Boots: Melrose and Market | Purse: BP | Choker: Aldo | Sunglasses: Aldo (similar here) | Thigh High Socks: Urban Outfitters | Scarf: BP Oversized cardigans are pretty much the best Winter staple (in my opinion) in a girl’s closet. It literally goes with everything and is obviously super comfortable. I never was a fan of oversized cardigans until this season, to be honest. It can create such a boxy shape and isn’t always the most flattering piece. But, with cold Canadian winter’s come great sacrifice in one’s closet to have warmth triumph style. That being said my favourite way to style an oversized cardigan is with a short skirt or dress and my over the knee boots. It creates a somewhat more feminine look to counter act the boxiness (clearly I’ve thought this through too much)! I’ve been already rocking this cardi non-stop since the cold has hit. More the reason to go buy more to add into my wardrobe! For a more relaxed fit size up.   Shop my look:

OTK Boots

Happy Saturday! One of my favorite things about this season is wearing over the knee boots and toques. Over the knee boots instantly pull together any look; whether it’s jeans, a skirt or a dress. And toques are an easy way to add texture (and to hide bad hair days!). These Melrose and Market boots hit just above the knee and are a part of my daily outfit rotation for day or night. I love pairing them with thigh high socks when wearing a skirt to create more length. As much as I love these babies, I am currently in the market for suede thigh high boots with a pointy toe. I am obsessed with how those look on the leg.   Shop my look:
